Rescue Me ID: 15-07-09-00720Tank (male)
7/9/15 You don't get the name Tank if you are an average size dog. That's why tipping the scales just under 100lbs earns this handsome fella a very fitting name! Tank is a big ol' boy and he's out to impress! He's a quick learner and eager to please! Want to go for a walk? Tank has been trained to walk without a leash, right beside you and looking to you for the next command. The 4th of July is usually a scary time for dogs, but not for Tank! He was 'dancing' and 'on point' with every bang and boom. Could he possibly have been a hunting dog? Very well so with the way this boy takes to water! We had to get a pool just for him because the ... (Read More)water buckets just couldn't accommodate his love to splash. Tank may be around 4 years old, but you wouldn't know that from his puppyish playing. He would be a great fit with an active family, no couch potatoes, please! We think a visit with Tank and you will be taking him home. Come check him out today! (Less) The Charleston Dog Shelter Franklin County Charleston, AR MAP IT!

6/22/12 Meet pumped-up Princeton! Talk about muscles, this guy has more than a 6-pack'|see for yourself. He is a very sweet, funny little fella. He was a stray who was going to be put down, but it was decided that would be a shame. When he arrived, he was a scaredy-cat and shy but those days are all behind him! Now Princeton loves to play and run and will keep you hopping with his spunk. He isn't obnoxious at all, just all boy and looking for someone who can help him burn some energy. Rescue Me ID: 14-06-24-00139Ricardo (male)
6-12-14 The girls are tired, so they asked me to do my own write-up. Okay....so I'm Ricardo. I'm your average one-year-old, 50-pound black and tan lab/rottweiler mix. Average. That's me. Average Joe. Vanilla. Size Medium. Plain White T-shirt. Blue Collar. I do have a fun side (see smiling picture) and I have a serious side (see serious picture). Hated those. Wasn't allowed to pant for ten seconds and it was a hunnerd degrees in the shade. Anyway, don't let my average looks fool you. I'm really a black-and-tan-barrel of fun. I play. I wrestle. I run. I love chase. The girl dogs at the shelter love me because of my strong, average good looks. ... (Read More)The boy dogs are jealous and pee on all the trees in my presence. They know my appeal with the women;) Anyway, I'm lookin to get out of here and into a home of my own. I would make an excellent average family member. The girls say I will be a terrific companion dog. Furthermore, I'm Cheap! $50.00. Neutered, had my shots, and more nasty worm medicine than I wanna think about. Could you help out an average guy like me? It would mean the world to this average labbie/rottie/who-knows-whattie mix. Ask about me, message 'em, call, do something. I just wanna go home. Please and thank you. Love, Ricardo. Visit us on Facebook at The Charleston Dog Shelter for more photos of Ricardo and our other great dogs! 8/21/13 You only get a name like Bogie if you are a regular at a golf course and that's exactly where this little guy has been spending his days...actually months if the truth be known. His southern belle was keeping him company, but she has been adopted which has left Bogie looking for love. This handsome fella is a young adult, around 1 1/2 years old and is your classic, goofy, fun loving and always happy Beagle. If you know anything about this breed, you know you are in for a lifetime of entertainment if you take Bogie home. He is a neat dog with a charming personality, love of humans and other dogs and his tail never stops wagging. He is ... (Read More)adjusting to life in the shelter, instead of the clubhouse, but would certainly rather be spending his days with a family of his own. Bogie enjoyed being 'just one of the guys' on the golf course, but the women at the shelter thinks he can do better...no offense fellas! Bogie just doesn't need a cart and clubs to get the ladies attention these days! Help us show Bogie what a family is all about by calling for a visit today! Visit us on Facebook at The Charleston Dog Shelter for more pictures of Bogie and our other great dogs! 5/7/14 Such a shame! Bogie is still waiting. He is such an awesome dog...someone is missing out! (Less) The Charleston Dog Shelter Franklin County Charleston, AR MAP IT!
